My son takes this vitamin supplement without any food, just straight out of the dropper, and likes it. We switched to this after he didn't like the Flintstones chewables (not one flavor out of the gazillion in the box).

However, after reading the reviews posted here I tasted it for myself and it's just awful! (but I like the Flintstones)

So, my advice would be to get one bottle from the drugstore, try it out - your kids may love it like mine does. However if they don't like it, you don't have 2 bottles sitting at home!

I had to rate it 5* since the kid just gulps it down, and they are for him to take, not for me.

I've been using this product for my 16 month old for 8 months. Yes, it does have a funny odor and it stains, but it is REALLY good for baby! It's had to cover all of their nutritional needs (especially vitamin D), but with this product I know she's covered.

TIP: Mix the poly vi sol in with a fruit puree such as pears and they probably won't even know the difference.

I know vitamins are not supposed to taste good and I have had others in the past so I have something to compare to. This has the most awful smell and taste that lingers for a couple of hours after you take it. I take it with food and it still upsets my stomach. I wish I could just return it. I absolutely hate it.

I have taken Centrum for years and when they came out with the Centrum Performance vitamins, I bought them and started taking them..... I almost died from the pain. I quickly got rid of them and went back to the original Centrum and didn't have any problems. I recently purchased the new smaller Centrums and guess what... I got that same stomach pain that I had got years prior when I tried the Performance line. The pain would have me curled up in a ball on my bed for 20 minutes, not good.

I too have been taking Centrum for 15 years, and didn't have a problem until I purchased my newest bottle. I take a few different supplements every day with the Centrum but only recently started getting stomach pain 10 minutes after ingestion bad enough to make me lie down for a while. I finally tried taking only the Centrum and the problem didn't go away until I cut out the Centrum and only took the others. Pretty easy to see its the Centrum. I will be contacting the company and ceasing use of their products until I hear that there is some information about a reason and remedy.

So, I'm on Atkins, and some days I feel a bit tired. I was half-assing the "take your vitamins" rule, but after browsing a local hippie shop I decided to pick up a small bottle of these....

Normally I don't feel much of a boost from vitamins, unless they are packaged with a horrible amount of caffeine.

These... are killer! I took them at night, and woke up feeling great. I am usually a zombie in the morning, so it was extremely odd, and refreshing. I wasn't expecting to feel any different after only 3 tablets, but wow! Total energy boost.

Very mild taste for a multi-vitamin too. Certainly worth a try if you feel like spending a bit more for multi-vitamin.

Has worked great for both my wife and I. It helped recovery from a bout of Mono when prescription drugs were taking too long. We are both able to take it with no stomach problems and can take them on an empty stomach without problem. FYI - The recommended dosage is three tablets, not two. I've been using this product for about a year now. My lab reports have been very good since my doctor recommended it for senior citizens. He says that he likes the balance of the ingredients in the tablet, and everything that you need is in one tablet. If you need minerals, they have a version with minerals included. I also advise in getting the "new" formula with Lycopene.

I need to mention that Amazon has very misleading ads on their 300-count Centrum 2-packs. They state "...300 count (2-pack)". Well, that's not true. It should say "...150 count (2-pack)" There's a TOTAL of 300 tablets in the blister pack in two 150 count bottles! Also they have an imaginary retail price of $49.95 for them, which is incredulous. I went to four retail stores and never saw them over $30.

The 270-count seems like the best buy, but I like my meds to be replaced every 90 days, 180 at the latest. That's a personal preference.

There is one small drawback to these pills. They do not have an easy-to-swallow coating, so you can't very easily take them without fluid. Sometimes I take my pills on the road, and this doesn't work for me. That's the only reason that I gave it a 4 star rating.

First thing to point out: This product looks, feels, and works in much different ways than most of the Neutrogena product line. I've tried a lot of their other products and none of them really work the same way or are effective, in my opinion. Everybody's skin is different, so your mileage may vary.....but if you're looking for something and haven't been thrilled with other Neutro stuff, you might love this one because it's NOT like the others.

This product contains vitamins (like B5), fruit and plant enzyme extracts, and salicylic acid (one of the hydroxy acids), among other things. It has a surprising peach color and light lotion-y texture. It smooths the surface of the skin. It helps to regenerate the top layer of skin, preventing clogged pores, making the skin fresh and dewy and youthful and soft, and evening out the skintone. It works better and better the longer you use it. You might not notice much the first week, but if you keep it up for several weeks, you won't have to notice....people will be telling YOU how great your skin looks. And no, I'm not selling or making any money from telling you this. I'm spreading the word, because I want the product to be continued by the company, and the only way to get them to do it is to let people know how good it is, so it will sell. This product is great because it prevents skin problems but it also helps to heal and improve skin after past problems.

There is a cult following for this amazing product which is now impossible to find in stores, but can be ordered online here still. This product changed my skin 100% from inflammatory, sensitive, hormonal skin that broke out to smooth, radiant, glowing skin. It is life changing, life SAVING in a way, because there is great stigma in our society regarding beauty. I am not sure I could cope with life without this product. It's that good and changes my life that much. In fact, if they ever stop making it available, it will be immoral, like taking life-saving medicines off the market when there is no replacement, because I have never and I mean never ----after countless dermatologists and many experiences with many different products (searching actively) --- found anything else that was this good for my skin. If I have to go back to the skin I had before this product, I would sink into a serious depression. I am not talking about vanity here-I'm talking about help overcoming a disability. Unlike serious and harmful drugs I've been prescribed before, this skincare product gave me natural healthy amazing skin without side effects or problems. This is not only the best skincare product I've ever used, but the best beauty product, and one of the best products of any type I've ever purchased. I am passionately saying all this because I'm hoping if enough people demand to keep this product around, Neutrogena will make sure it's still available for us. Apply a thin layer once or twice a day. Be consistent, but occasionally missing a day or two is no big deal if you've been keeping it up for awhile.

SKINCARE TIP: An unrelated product that works great alongside this one for total skincare (also amazingly cheap but hard to find) is Dickinson's Witch Hazel with aloe vera. The witch hazel is a natural anti-inflammatory that soothes irritation, inflammation, and redness in the skin. The aloe vera sooths and helps healing---also works for men who nick their skin while shaving. Use the Dickinson's (yes, the brand matters---others aren't as good) to cleanse your skin morning and bedtime, then use the Neutrogena once a day, and you'll thank me. Honest to god. This item is great, and it's tasty. Before or after a workout or a really long day it's a wonderful way to help replenish your body. A friend recommended it because I teach high school and I haven't gotten sick since taking a couple packets on days I'm feel the onset of a scratchy throat. I gave a handful of packets to another teacher who had lost her voice and she said that it was amazing how quickly everything cleared up for her! I love it. With the tangerine you can also mix it with orange juice so you don't get such a fizzy drink. One of the big chains started selling in the vitamin asile for less than what I used to get it here, so you may want to check before ordering if cash is an issue. Enjoy!

I am an avid fan of Emergen-C. I do my best to get in 2 a day. I started taking them when I was on a new diet. I was going to a clinic and the nurses recommended them to ensure that I got all of my daily vitamins. Your body absorbs vitamins much more this way rather than taking the huge horse pills. The clinic also recommend them to help curb headaches. I was giving up my beloved 'Diet Coke' and this was the only thing that made it possible. Plus the B vitamins really boost your metabolism.

These are also great when you feel a cold coming on. They really help to boost your immune system. I never leave home without Emergen-C!

I've liked all of the flavors I have tried so far. I love mixing them with Crystal light or something similar. With the Tangerine, my favorite thing to mix it with is Orange Juice in the morning. It is a great way to start your day. It really perks you up! I also mix this with the Lemonade Crystal Light and made it Tangerine Lemonade. It's delicious.

I had previously purchased the regular daily multiple formula. The taste was bearable- you could put it in some orange juice and no problem. This one, however, is really nasty. But it seems to work almost as well as the original. I don't feel quite the energy I did with the other version, but I started taking this when I was feeling a little like I might be coming down with something and it went away within a day.

"Increased energy, better endurance - I can definitely notice a difference" 2008-12-02

I have been taking Multissentials for three months now, and have noticed such a difference in my daily energy levels and endurance at the gym that I felt compelled to leave a review about my experience with the product. A little background, I have been taking supplements for 15 years, mostly cheap ones from GNC or the Vitamin Shoppe that I could never tell whether or not they were working. I decided to bite on this product because I like the fact that it has daily packs and I can replace my current stash of vitamins with one bottle. I was also extremely impressed by the supplement facts, as I have never seen so much stuff in a multivitamin before.

First off, as the other reviewers stated, this product defiantly gives you more energy, which is the first for me from taking a multivitamin. I started noticing an increased level of energy after about 1 week of using the product. And no this isn't the type of energy that caffeine or other stimulants gives you. It feels more like my body is able to perform its daily duties without feeling lethargic or lazy.

Everyday at work (before taking this product), I would get the midday blues around 2PM, right after my lunch settles. I was always tired, ready for a nap, and didn't feel like thinking or doing anything. After 1 week on this product, I started to notice that I wasn't getting tired anymore midday. After 3 weeks on the product, not only was I not tired anymore, I was actually alert and energetic all day. And this alertness would carry over into the gym after I left work, which is where I really started to notice the benefits of taking this product.

I always try to goto the gym after work (if I'm not too tired), and usually would be exhausted from working all day. This would result in me not wanting to work out very long, and I would leave the gym after 30 mins ready for a night on the couch. Rarely would I be up for running on the treadmill unless I drank a cup of coffee before the gym.

Now that I have been taking Multissentials, everything has changed. I am never tired anymore after work, which has helped my workouts in the gym tremendously. I have been lifting more than ever, and my endurance on the treadmill has gone up from 2 miles huffin' and puffin' to a full 5 miles strong in 3 months. I attribute these accomplishments directly to taking this product, as I hadn't dramatically changed anything else in my diet (I have been taking whey protein after working out for years). I think that the increased energy levels allow me to better focus during my workouts, and give me more motivation to lift more weight and run longer. I also read on their website that this product supports cardiovascular health, which might be why I was able to notice such endurance gains on the treadmill.

Onto the product itself. Multissentials comes in one medium sized bottle, and has 30 packs inside the bottle. Each pack contains 12 capsules in it. Seems like a lot, but it is really not that bad to swallow as they are pretty small. I take half the pack with breakfast and the other half with lunch. The pack idea is very convenient, as you can put it in your pocket and take whenever is convenient for you. Sometimes I take a pack to work and take the whole thing with lunch.

This one bottle has replaced several bottles of supplements on my shelf, as I no longer buy separate bottles of everything. I was taking a one-a-day multivitamin, fish oil, and bone and joint formula before this product. This product has all those in it, plus more. It is also nice not to have to open a bunch of bottles of supplements each morning. 1 pack is all that is needed.

It also states on the company's website that the product is made from pharmaceutical grade ingredients in a US based lab, which is comforting because of all the scares I have read about high lead and mercury levels in lower grade supplements made in china. I also see on the bottle that the lab is ISO 9001, ISO17025, and NSF certified, certifications I rarely see on the bottles of other supplement companies.

I have since purchased this product for my mother, who is always tired because she had her thyroid taken out. She was reluctant at first because she doesn't really believe in vitamins, but I was finally able to convince her to try it. Wouldn't you know, after 2 week, she has said the same thing; she noticed more energy in her day-to-day activities. She is hooked now, and so am I.

This is the first multivitamin product that I have ever noticed a difference from taking, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to increase their energy levels throughout the day and notice considerable cardiovascular health benefits.

This is actually my second purchase of Biossentials multivitamin product.

After I began taking the vitamins over a month ago the first thing I noticed was a lift in stamina throughout my day. The same energy level I feel after waking up and eating is maintained without the afternoon drop off. Now that my body is starting to absorb more of the nutrients from the vitamins (theres a lot, and it's the vitamins/minerals with a %DV that I think make the difference) I've noticed a heightened mental acumen and lucidity.

I have a lot of health nuts in my family I've taken vitamins and eaten healthy all my life. I'm 23 and even still, since I started taking the Multissentials, I feel that much better on a daily basis - definitely worth it to me

These vitamins are incredible! They give me an extra hour or two of energy everyday and help keep me going towards the end of the day when I would usually get tired. I have never taken a multivitamin where you can actually NOTICE and FEEL the difference within a matter of day!

After taking the formula for a month, I feel much so better than when I was taking over-priced vitamins for many years. You truly get what you pay for in this case!

I would recommend this product to anyone who wants lasting energy throughout the day and wants to actually notice a difference from taking a multivitamin. 5 stars!!!

ALSO - I've have also tried Biossential's whey protein as well and noticed considerable gains over other proteins when working out, another great product that actually works. Highly recommended!

This pill is large, uncoated & has a rough texture thus makes it impossible to swallow. I am a 25 year old male and usually do not have trouble swallowing pills but this pill has been a problem. My diet has stayed relatively the same (relatively healthy). The only change I've made is switching from Centrum to One-A-day. I've been using this product for 2 months, and it seems I've been more resistant to colds and have been more "regular" since taking this supplement.

I'm knocking off a star because these may be hard to swallow for some people (like me). The pills don't have any sort of external coating on them to aid in swallowing. Additionally, if/when these become moist, the pill all but adheres to your tongue because of its gritty surface. I've had to throw out a few pills because I was not able to swallow them. A fresh pill solved the problem. My recommendation is to reduce moisture in your mouth to a minimum before taking.

Good product, overall.

Vitalert is a great vitamin, and I really feel the impact when I take it. Definitely makes me more energized with whatever I'm doing. Have been looking all over for it, finally found a supplier on e-bay, but supply is running low. Apparently the manufacturer - Performance Labs - declared bankruptcy last August. Trying to find a good replacement or something equivalent. If anyone can recommend a similar vitamin with the same kind of impact, please advise!

I have taken maybe 10 of these vitamins and find them horrible. The bottles are sitting in my cupboard untouched for several months now. The kids won't eat them and the husband won't either and he will eat about anything.

Flinstones are much better. Even the generic ones are more tolerable.

This is a great source of liquid vitamins. I was sluggish and tired and my mom suggested I try liquid vitamins. I was apprehensive since I talk a multi-vitamin by mouth daily. I ordered this product because I have a horrible time swallowing pills. Most vitamins are quite large (relatively speaking). I ordered Source of Life Liquid a month ago and I swear that as long as they make it, I will buy and use it. After getting beyond its appearance and putting a capful in some Tropicana 50/50 orange juice, I tried it. It is wonderful!!! It turns the juice a sludge green (and you need to stir it so that it mixes well) but I can't see taking anything else.

I actually look forward to it in the mornings and just received my 2nd bottle.

I drink this every morning as part of my re-hydration from a long night sleep. A nice flavor, I pour it into a HUGE mug that holds about 3 cups of water. I combine it with a tablespoon of benefiber. Drunk straight I find that whatever it is that add to make this bubbly, nauseates me slightly. The Benefiber kills that and adds 3g of digestible fiber. The combo is a healthy drink that works on multiple levels, 3 cups of water into my system, vitamins and 3 g of fiber to start the day.

I use emergen-c a lot, and this is my favorite flavor. This is the one flavor that I can just shake into my mouth and enjoy the fizzy, crackling treat. I love it that way, and my 11 year old son does too! I like to carry one in my pocket for times when my energy is diminished or I'm feeling weak. It will quickly bring my strength back.

Another thing I've noticed with Emergen-c is the way it affects my complexion. It really makes my skin look more vibrant.

These chews do provide calcium but the aftertaste is awful. I just discovered Adora calcium supplements at Whole Foods. They are made with real chocolate and have vitamin D and K as well. As women get older, they tend to require calcium supplements, if they are to have any hope in warding off the debilitating effects of osteoporosis. Even specially formulated multi-vitamin/multi-mineral supplements for adults over the age of fifty do not provide the daily value of calcium required by women. So, one is often advised to take calcium supplements. Unfortunately, the tablets are sized in such a way that only a horse could comfortably swallow them.

So, Viactiv provides an easy, pleasant, and tasty alternative of getting one's necessary daily value of calcium. This calcium supplement, replete with Vitamins D and K for easier absorption of the calcium, is in the form of a soft chew, shaped something like a caramel. It is a vast improvement over those horse sized calcium supplement pills only a horse could love. Three of these tasty little chews provide 1,500 mg of calcium, 300 IU of vitamin D, and 120 mcg of vitamin K.

While it currently is available in six flavors, caramel, orange cream, strawberry cream, milk chocolate, chocolate mint, and mochaccino. I have tried only four of the six. The caramel flavor, which is, incidentally, my own personal favorite, tastes for all the world like a real, honest-to-goodness caramel. Eating it is a mouthwatering, flavorful experience, one that all caramel lovers should enjoy.

The orange cream flavor tastes just like a creamsicle, making it a tasty morsel to which one looks forward to having the requisite three times a day. Orange cream is one of my personal favorites, second only to caramel.

The fact that this calcium supplement is available in a milk chocolate flavor should make all chocoholics happy. Its rich chocolate taste, reminiscent of a Tootsie Roll in terms of flavor and texture, makes for a delectable, pleasant experience. That it is actually good for you makes it even better

The combined chocolate and coffee flavors of mochaccino should serve to make all chocoholics and coffee lovers happy. Its rich mocha flavor, however, while good, was not my favorite, as I find that I prefer the other flavors that I have tried, thus far.

Each tasty chew contains twenty calories. For those of you who are following the Weight Watchers point system, three of these handy dandy little chews, irrespective of flavor, will count as one point. For those of you following the Atkins diet, three of these chews will add twelve carbohydrates to your daily plan. Each chew comes individually wrapped for women on the go.

Viactiv actually tastes good, which to me is a pretty big deal. I loathe pills because I have to take so many of them already, so the fact that this is chewable is definitely a bonus. It's better than a liquid, too, because, essentially, it's like a piece of calcium-enriched candy, and pieces of candy are easier to carry around than bottles of syrup.

In addition to all that, it actually tastes good. Too many flavored medicines manage only to either layer a thin veneer of sweetness over the medicinal bitterness or to completely knock you out with the most artificial "fruit" flavor you've ever tasted. Viactiv, on the other hand, tastes like a piece of chocolate. If you gave one to me unwrapped, I wouldn't have a clue that it was a calcium supplement.

Better, too, than calcium-enriched Tums, because why take an antacid when you don't need to?

I added flaxseed oil to my daily supplements on the recommendation of friends who said it helps with absorbing nutrients. While these capsules seem large, they go down smoothly with no aftertaste or stomach discomfort in the slightest. Two capsules a day and I'm still working through this three-pack!
